Our Mission
Our mission is to make pollution prevention technology cost-effective for government and industry by developing closed loop, surface cleaning systems using environmentally friendly water-based cleaners.
ZYMO® was formed under Advanced Innovators with the objective of developing, manufacturing and selling solvent-free, non-hazardous, pollution preventative, surface cleaning systems. The initial focus was to market and continue development of the first bioremediating, recirculating parts washing system. This system is marketed under the trade mark “ZYMO®-The Parts Washer” through various distributors.
ZYMO® – “The Parts Washer” uses a water-based cleaner, in conjunction with oil eating microbes, to biodegrade oil and grease washed off parts during cleaning; thereby creating a closed loop system, which eliminates the hauling away of hazardous waste. Other benefits of the system include:
- Completely safe – – uses non-flammable, neutral pH and solvent-free, non-hazardous chemicals.
- Pollution preventative system – – oil eating microbes destroy oil and grease, deregulating parts washing and thereby minimizing compliance paperwork.
- Field serviceable – – uses modular engineering technology so that individual parts can be changed in the field without downtime or returning the machine.
- ISO 9000 certified microbial component – – ISO 9000 guarantees quality and consistency in the manufacturing of the oil-eating microbes contained in the filters.
The founders of Zymo® International attribute the commercial success and acceptance of ZYMO® – “The Parts Washer” to teamwork and interdisciplinary backgrounds. The founders have diverse backgrounds critical to the success of an integrated technology business. They have the technical disciplines of microbiology, environmental engineering and industrial engineering; and the business disciplines of sales and marketing to the automotive aftermarket, and microbiological products to industry.
